“Our goal is to interest and educate people about wild edibles and the nutritious and delicious weeds found in your backyard” notes Abbe Turner, cheesemaker at Lucky Penny Farm. “We invite everyone to Lucky Penny Farm on August 9 for a fun-filled educational and culinary experience.”

Our friend Peter Gail, Ph.D. is an ethnobotanist who has been studying how ethnic groups use backyard weeds for food and medicine. In 1988, he founded Goosefoot Acres Center for Resourceful Living, through which he conducts seminars and workshops designed to re-introduce Americans to the culinary resources of “weeds” and how to use them. Good Morning America called him "The Wizard of Weeds"; USA Today dubbed him "The King of Dandelions" He is the author of numerous books and articles on creative living and edible wild plants, and the operator of the National Dandelion Cook-off.

Join us on August 9 for a unique culinary adventure and register early as this event fills up fast.

See you then-
Abbe & Anderson Turner
